If you’ve ever played Hearthstone and muttered “RNG hell,” this new strategy card game might give you flashbacks — its name is Harvest101.
I discovered this game while participating in the Plithus Supporters Round 3 program, and ended up clearing every chapter and falling in love with the mechanics.
🧩 Game Overview & Structure

Harvest101 is a deck-building strategy card game set in a medieval farm. The goal is to manage your resources effectively and produce bread according to demand, which unlocks the next round.
You’ll work with resources like stone, wood, grain, and gold. Each chapter introduces special events or constraints, and overcoming them is key to success.
⚙️ Basic Gameplay Mechanics

- Energy System: You receive 3 energy per day, which can be replenished with certain cards (e.g., “Rocking Chair”).
- Deck Cycle: You draw 5 random cards daily. Once your deck is empty, the discard pile reshuffles into a new draw pile.
- Card Use: Gather resources using card combinations and fulfill production requirements (bread) to move forward.
🌿 Chapter-by-Chapter Strategy
✅ Chapters 1–3: Mushroom Gathering + Basket Combo = Easy Mode
- Recommended Deck:
6x Mushroom Gatherer
+4x Basket
- Difficulty: Tutorial level, no special events
✅ Chapter 4 Onward: Card Cycle & Deletion Strategy Becomes Crucial
- “Watcher” cards pollute your deck → use “Card Delete” mechanics to stay clean
- Key Cards: Rocking Chair (copy/delete), Cute Nephew (add), Dynamite (clear field)
✅ Chapter 9 (Mediterranean Port): Diver + Dock Worker Combo
✅ Chapter 13 (Scholar’s Garden): Focus on Book Production Cards (e.g., Scholar, Confucian Student)
✅ Chapter 14 (Cooking Village): Resource hoarding → Jangseung, Dol Hareubang, Demolitionist
✅ Chapter 15 (Public Sentiment Management): Gold Ledger + Guard Generator to counter Thieves
💡 Ranking Mode Tips
- Fallen Noble House: Use Merchant to remove Watcher cards
- Winter Survival: Jangseung + Shrine combo to block curses
- Highlander Mode: Maximize deck variety — use Demolitionist, Alchemist, Bread Mold
- Werewolf’s Night: Base your build on Gold Ledger + Guard synergy
